Paramount Skydance Plans to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Update
Skydance Paramount plans to begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further global layoffs are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance intending to announce all specifics during its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Prior news had indicated the firm was looking to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.
Until December 2024, the organization employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 contract workers.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented regarding the report.
